Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
A few years ago, I hired Intown Craftsmen to remodel my bathrooms. Russ Melton guided me on things to do/not do and he and his team made great ideas for my remodels. He suggested places to go and websites to visit to pull together needed so I was in total control of the cost of every item small and large - cabinets, windows, faucets/toilets, towel bars, lighting, mirrors, etc. They pointed me and I ran with it.
While it was overwhelming at times because of the vast amount of product available, Russ and his team made suggestions to help me narrow things down. My house is a mid-20th century ranch with two bathrooms on the main floor. Neither one seemed to have been remodeled since when the house was built (1961) so my jobs were basically to go down to the studs and start over.
Intown did a phenomenal job with the craftsmanship and everyone was incredibly nice and professional. I knew that when I decided to have the old gross carpet ripped out and new flooring put in, my go-to would be Intown Craftsmen.
Russ and Haden guided me through the decision making process for new flooring and listened to what was important to me...budget. I ended up going with LVP - Luxury Vinyl Plank and they had me work through Falcon Flooring. The cost of the LVP product (excluding installation) was extremely reasonable. For what it's worth, I chose Mohawk Thrasher Ellsworth.
When I initially met with Russ and Haden regarding the flooring, I dropped in other questions...what about painting and what about lighting. Not only did Intown Craftsmen do the floors, I had them paint about 75% of the main floor - went with Sherwin Williams paint for the walls and ceiling.
As for lighting, they installed LED recessed lighting in my bedroom and in the hall and front hall. Wow...what a difference! I went from having track lighting and the original inset light (a square that you pull down to put in a light bulb) to LED lighting with dimmers in the bedroom and front hallway. The after product is awesome!
Intown Craftsmen handled everything when I was away. All I had to do was pack up and move an antique oak clawfoot China closet. I went ahead and packed up everything which gave me a chance to start a much need house cleansing. I didn't even have to worry about moving my spinet (small piano) - they handled moving that, too.
I handed over my keys and left for the holidays. While I was away, they came in to do the work in about a week and a half. When I got back three weeks later, all of the work was done. It looks fantastic!
Russ and Haden did a walk- thru a few days later and there are just a couple of minor aesthetic items that need to be done.
Intown Craftsmen did the work for a very reasonable and fair price. Note that this was the second big job they did for me and a friend of my also hired them to remodel her bathroom. That may or may not have influenced the fair price; however the bathroom remodels were fairly priced too...so much so that my friend liked what I told here and she hired them.
If I had more remodeling to do, I would definitely start with Intown Craftsmen. Everyone I've dealt with has been incredibly nice and the work is very impressive. They listened to what mattered to me (budget) and made suggestions on what made the best sense. I will highly recommend Intown Craftsmen to friends in the future. I'm still loving my bathrooms and look forward to getting everything back in order and will enjoy my new flooring and new lights and I love the color paint I picked!Services: Paint indoors, Install flooring
Gabe inspected a roof leak of mine (they did not install the roof) on a Friday. No other roofer could figure out where the leak was coming from, Gabe and his team located and fixed the leak on Saturday!! Quick, reliable, honest people! Thank you!!
Russ and his business partner were great! After I recently got a home inspection on my new house, there were some things I wanted to get fixed up. Russ came and looked at my garage and told me I'd be better off spending my money on other repairs and renovation projects in the future. He could have given me an estimate and made all that money by fixing what didn't actually need to be fixed, but I trust his advice and am looking forward to getting a new fence put in instead.
We haven’t had them do any work at our house (yet), but Russ the owner generously let me use their shop to run some of my own stock through their jointer. Nice guy, community minded, generous with his time and equipment. Would make my short list the next time we have some work to do around our home.
I appreciate the valuable referrals and advice given to me by Intown. They appraised the job and suggested an alternative that will save me lots of money while getting the same result. Thanks Intown!
